Lasagna -Meat or Meatless

I have made lasagna a million different ways and always like trying new versions.  I recently made this one for my mom and she said it was the best lasagna she’s ever had. So hopefully your family will love it as well...

Notes:
While I am sure her homemade sausage ragu is fabulous, and maybe one day when I’m not sick of cooking I'll be into making it, today I am going to cook up some sausage and throw it into Raos Marinara. Done! So basically, skip all the steps she has listed for her sauce. Cook up a package of 3-5 mild Italian sausage links (depending on how meaty you want it to be), crumbling as you cook. Pour a large jar of Raos marinara into a bowl and add sausage to combine. Then continue with her ricotta mixture and assembly directions as listed. If you want to skip the meat altogether, give her "nice lasagna" recipe a try. It is yummy. Here is the link to that one:

Modifications:
Low Carb: Use Zucchini in place of lasagna sheets
Gluten Free: Use GF lasagna
Vegan: Skip the sausage and use vegan cheese & egg substitute
Pescatarian: Skip the sausage/make the nice lasagna
Picky kids: If they like lasagna, they should like this...
