Panera Mac n Cheese

I love Panera's Mac n cheese. So mild and creamy. I'm not going to say this is as good, but it's a close second. If you like a stronger Mac n cheese, feel free to play around with the cheeses and swap out the American for something stronger like a gruyere, parmesan, or more cheddar. 

 

Ingredients

1 pound pound dried pasta shells

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

12 ounces white American cheese-shredded

4 ounces sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard 

4 dot hot sauce 

1 teaspoon kosher salt

 

Directions

 

Cook pasta shells according to package directions-drain well.

 

In a large pot, heat heavy cream, and Dijon mustard, whisking until combined. Add dash of hot sauce 

 

Add the white cheddar cheese, white American cheese, and salt to pan; stir until melted and combined. Stir in cooked pasta shells. 

Serve immediately.
